Ridiculously Cute!

It has been so hot in South Australia for over a week...40+ degrees Celsius everyday, very dry also.
A guy at work lives at Maude.  His wife sent him these photos of a little Koala which just walked into the back porch looking for a bit of heat relief.  She filled up a bucket and this is what happened!

NY Strip, Brown Rice with Veggies and a Tomato Cucumber Balsamic Salad

I was going to wait till next week to join in on the Tasty Tuesday as I had no idea what I could do… with out really preparing for it.

But, as I was preparing lunch I realized it was not much of a recipe but it may help someone on the run to make lunch/dinner in a quickie and with market specials.

Items used

1 New York Steak $2.99 lb SALE - Stockpile

1 Lipton Envelope of Vegetable Mix $.60 a pack

1 cup Brown Rice Publix Brand $1.59

1 Tomato $1.00 lb.

1 Cucumber $.50 ea

I love my George Forman little grill…. I do everything from my turkey burgers, to steak… It works like a charm. Though I may admit “I hate cleaning it” as I want to wash with water and soap.

 

Grill Steak till the cooking consistency you like your meat.  Chicken if you prefer -

Open your pack of Lipton veggie mix and mix with your rice. Cook rice as you would normally but just add the pack to the water and stir. Simmer on Low-Medium heat as Brown rice cooks a little longer than white rice. I use these packages when I am in a hurry or when I really have no frozen or canned veggies. This is also a great trick for picky eaters!!! shshshs don’t tell them.

Rice simmering – Does she not look yummy?

1 Tomato and 1 Cucumber, cut peel and plate.

Add olive oil, salt, pepper and Balsamic vinegar.

This is the best part plate and eat your yummy yummy inexpensive lunch! ENJOY

After i found this brown jacket i started to think what i had to match with… I really wanted to match with a wool long skirt…

So I started my search with that in mind…. Guess what? I found one?

The find was and AHHHHH moment. Cost $2.59 – would you not agree?

I new that I wanted to find stuff I can coordinate together as well as mix and match… I new that the findings with be greater if I found name brands…Brands I would normally look at department stores… ! have a few I always lean towards when I shop, so I kept them in mind as well.

This is an adorable lines Suit set… $under $9.00 for both!!!

The little black dress – I have a few. But i thought that for $2.09 who can say “NO”!!

I have left the best for last. When I say this pretty pink shirt I just had to snag it of the rack……

IT IS BRAND NEW…. I paid $1.95 for it… I looked it up online and the sell in boutiques for $75.

The Fleur de Leis is all Sawarzki Crystals!!!! I love the back and the sleeves… Really cute with a pair of jeans or a cute little skirt!!

OMG I CAN’T WAIT TO SHOW OFF MY FRUGAL SHOPPING TRIP

I am so proud of my self THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY!!! Lets start by saying that it is all Jenn’s fault!!! Jenn @ inpassionatepursuit.blogspot.com is an inspiration when it comes to buying on a frugal budget. Becomeing a frugal fashionista is really not that hard... It just takes patience and a little luck would not hurt either. I am going to try my best for a month to be as frugal as I can.... I can tell you I like the drive and love the challange...

This morning I and the Hubby went together to see all that I can find... You will be amazed at all that I did.... My finds beat my expectaions for sure... I got alot of cuteness for a very frugal budget!!!!

Does Flying Frugal Count?

My sons Fiancé (sounds cute)… Emailed me yesterday with pricing on them flying back to see me in May… They will be flying round trip for $51.80 per person… from Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA.. That is $103.60 for both of them!!! Actually the tickets are $11.00 each and the rest is fees to make it the $51.80. Now you tell me that is not worth saying YIPPY!!!!

I THINK IT COUNTS AS FRUGAL FLYING!!!

Living Frugal Experience for the Week

You know we sometimes do not really take to account all that we spend on stupid stuff.

From the stop for coffee to the not taking advantage of coupons or sales of some sort…

I can say that at times I am one to blame… It is hard to get use to doing something that really is not part of our comfort zone.

I love reading Jen’s inpassionatepursuit.blogspot.com not only is she pretty and smart, but she knows what to do with her $$$ and make her life a lot of easier even with here meal planning…

This week hubby was home as he had no work for 2 days do to the Jewish holiday… We stopped at a Goodwill just to see what they had… My finds where amazing… I found 3 lined Blazers for $5 a piece…. I was impressed… he found a computer book that sells at stores for over $55 for $1.50 and he purchased a phone for our MAGIC JACK (Phone Service FRUGALLY) for $4.00 – with caller ID….

I will be posting pics of the Blazers latter on….. So you see how cute they are….

I have decided to try and use coupons and the frugal way of living for 6 months and see what i can do for our family… What is better than seeing how much you saved on your grocery bill…?

They are gone & now I have to go back to WORK

Well we had a great week to say the least!!!

They have always been very close… But ever since we relocated to Georgia – they have missed each other a lot. You can really tell how much when they saw each other… but like brothers it seemed as they had just seen each other last over dinner!!!

On Easter Sunday (my BDAY) we decided to go to Six Flags… We had a ball….

I am so tiered and behind on my headbands.. So after so much play it is now time to go BACK TO WORK!!

Nests are every where in my ADOBE! I simply love them big or small….. Look and see what I mean!!!

There is also an adoration for tureens, teapots and saucers. As well as everything and anything TOILE!!!
